Apple Iphone Clones

Written by oneself on 7:41 PM

By:Elaina

iPhone by Apple has created a furore in the world mobile market. The brand which was till now synonymous with world class laptops, the iPod and other electronic gadgets has now stepped into the ever growing and competitive mobile phone market. Every announcement by Apple is waited for with bated breath and the announcement of Apple iPhone generated the same reaction and anticipation from the mobile enthusiasts the world over.

The release of Apple iPhone was hugely welcomed. Its success was almost guaranteed and when the promised got developed it reflected in the millions of sales that the phone marked in its introductory phase itself. Success breeds clones and the same holds true for the iPhone. miniOne by Meizu is one such handset that looks almost similar to the phone in question. Even the manufacturers themselves might have to strain really hard to spot the differences, if any, between these two handsets. One conspicuous difference—the 16 GB memory which is double of what the iPhone has to offer.

IP200 is another contender in the race. In looks, it is similar, but some differences in terms of features and applications are definitely there. One major difference however is the added keypad, as the touchscreen in the phone is optional.

The other iPhone clones already pervading or soon to be released includes the likes of Teclast T59, LG Prada KE850, ASUS Aura and iSoftPhone. Creating clones is a different matter, but being able to elicit the same response and success is not too easy a task. Apple has a brand name, its products are highly anticipated in the world market and are accepted with open arms even before the initial reviews begin to pour in. The clones might emulate the design, the features and specifications, but the brand value is something exclusive to the Apple.

PDA phones: personal organiser and communicator rolled into one

Written by oneself on 10:02 AM

By:darlenekaitlene

More than a decade ago Apple made a pioneering effort to offer a 'mobile office' to the people who are frequently on move across the world. In 1993, the era of Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) started with the launch of 'Newton' by Apple. Later, PalmPilot came into the market and PDAs started to become the cynosure of all eyes.
However, classic PDA did not seem to have a future. As a result, the high-tech gadget market is witnessing a surge of PDA phones. These devices offer the twin benefits of a cellular phone and a personal organiser.
PDA phone designs have improved over time. The screens are better, storage capabilities have expanded and performance speed has enhanced.

The PDA market actually grew 40% as compared to the year-ago quarter. The major cause of this is the strong sales of Windows Mobile 5. So, PDAs running this operating system became popular among the people.

One cannot deny the importance of planning out daily activities, whether personal or professional. Planning enhances productivity and improves efficiency. PDA phones enable to systematise your work to deliver the maximum.

A typical PDA phone has no keyboard. There is a special hardware and pen-based computer software for enabling the recognition of handwritten input. The display screen can be used for input and a stylus is used as the input device.
The portability of PDA phones enables you to carry them to business meetings for referring to and sharing business data and/or for checking e-mails over a wireless network. You can synchronise the data in your phone with your desktop.

Various applications are provided in a PDA, such as word processor, spreadsheet, calendar and address book. These applications enable you to use your PDAs as notepads, appointment schedulers and wireless communicators for sending and receiving data, faxes, and e-mails.
Improved software and lower prices have increased the popularity and demand of PDA phones among the people.

Get the best of both the worlds! Enjoy the benefits of a planner and a communicator...all rolled into your PDA phone.

Who Needs An Apple iPhone - Details on how to get it for FREE?

Written by oneself on 4:30 AM

by Josef Rosenberg

Although the impending launch of the Apple iPhone means that many who see the next generation smartphone is sure to want one, we have identified a few key consumers who might find the iPhone an indispensable tool.

The Students: Given Apple's close link to the academic community, it's inevitable that there will be some alliances forged between the two realms of Apple's cutting edge design and technology and the needs of academia.

One of Steve Jobs' previous start-ups, NeXT, focused on higher education and business markets, while its Mac line of desktops are used in biotechnology research and analytical computations.

Students using the iPhone will find its features like the ability to playback MP3 tracks useful. Not so much for catching the latest pop songs, but rather to catch education-related podcasts.

The iPhone's ability to stream video means that e-learning or distance learning can take place, as long as the academic institution has the infrastructure in place.

Having a 2-megapixel digital camera built into the iPhone means that photos can be taken with ease, whether it's for assignments or for personal recreation.

Road Warriors: Business people on the move will find the iPhone to be useful, especially with the availability of full featured Internet access, rather than the abbreviated web surfing currently available on many smartphones.

This means that not only will you be able to check for information on the Internet, it also means that secure business transactions can take place easily.

The availability of Internet access over Wi-Fi networks mean that available Web 2.0 services will allow mobile office workers to access their data on the move.

Freed from being deskbound, the Apple iPhone is currently enabled to access Google's Maps application. Over time, you can expect Apple's strategic partners to develop more business applications.

Business Owners: The workhorse nature of the iPhone together with its close integration to Apple's Safari Internet browser, mean that business applications can be used seamlessly.

We can make an educated guess that the separation between the computer and your mobile iPhone device will be erased over time.

Perhaps we might even predict that the iPhone will gradually take over the functions of your laptop or notebook computer over time.

With Apple's support for its developer network, this means that a new generation of business applications can be expected on the horizon.

- Apple's broad appeal is not just limited to the iPhone however, it's previous products such as the Mac, its followup brethren the iMac and the iPod digital music player have received a warm reception from its users.
